I must say I have had some hairy moments.MS seems to crash A LOT! I see the "Mainstage has quite unexpectadley" message at least once a day, especially when setting up sounds. You cant construct a set list, you bascially have to scroll through tracks of songs to pull up the patches you need.Īnyway, have been playing around with Mainstage - upgraded my MBP to 16GB of RAM, went 64bit on my Mainstage app, purchased 2.2.2 and have started doing shows using MS as my DAW. The big down side is that I can only use Reason sounds, no VSTs etc PLUS the interface is not very good for live- in fact its terrible. Up until now I have used Reason which is absolutely rock solid - I dont think it has ever crashed on me. My set up is based 100% on my DAW applications - no hardware at all other than the keyboard I use to trigger the sounds. I am making the transition from Reason to Mainstage for live use.
